AIB Separation Works

This project was completed in a number of phases and different areas throughout the AIB Bankcentre in Ballsbridge. The works included forming new changing rooms, constructing fire protected corridors, flood mitigation to the basement, constructing a new security kiosk and installing privacy screens.

The changing rooms, constructed in the basement, involved building block walls, installing services, and dry lining the walls. 2nd fix mechanical and electrical was completed, and sanitary ware was fitted. The areas were tiled, ceilings fitted and decoration completed.

The fire protected corridors were completed in six separate areas to form a protected means of escape. New fire doors were fitted, existing partitions reformed to achieve a 60 minute fire rating,  new fire rated partitions were constructed and ceiling and floor voids were upgraded to achieve the required fire rating.

Flood barriers were installed at basement level, and ramps formed in the basement car park to prevent water ingress. Existing penetrations in the basement walls and slabs were filled with a specialised product to stop water ingress.

At the cash depot a new steel structure was formed and a privacy screen erected. A new security kiosk, including gates and railings was constructed at the entrance to the depot area and underground services were installed in the cash depot yard.
